Make striped Easter eggs easily using just two items a rubber band and a shot glass. We used food coloring and white vinegar to dye eggs.
Begin with a cool large hard-boiled egg. Place a wide rubber band that fits snugly around the egg. Next fill your shot glass with egg dye leaving space for the egg. Place the egg in the shot glass. Wait 5 minutes. Remove egg and blot dry with a paper towel.
Repeat process with another dye color for a two toned egg. You may use multiple shot glasses and work in rounds while waiting for the dye or just make a few special striped eggs to mix in with solid dyed eggs.
Finally remove the rubber band carefully to reveal your finished Easter egg. It’s just that easy.
